SPE Extrusion Optimization TopCon

Organized by the Extrusion division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), the SPE Extrusion Optimization TopCon will focus on the theory and principles of extrusion for single and twin screw extruders, with the aim of improving quality, increasing throughput and achieving a more consistent and repeatable process, regardless of the type of extrusion operation and industry sector.

The presentations will focus on managing boundary conditions: the challenges related to the temperature and pressure of the molten material, volume, torque and technical problems related to mass transfer.

In addition to extrusion theory, upstream, supply chain and downstream technologies, as well as control architecture, systems integration, data management and maintenance are integrated into the program to facilitate improvements in extrusion manufacturing efficiency.
